Yoga, Table for One

Currently, the husband is kicking butt while doing p90x yoga at four in the morning! I thought that would be me as well today. But no.  I was 10 minutes into it,  in the lovely downward facing dog position and then it felt like my wrists snapped.  Now please believe me when I say that I really do need my wrists in my day to day life.  My wrists are ALL I need to perform my job duties. So I'm very protective of them.  Hopefully yoga day can be moved to the weekend. I rather get in really intense workouts during the workweek.  I promised him I wouldn't go back to bed, (it being 4:30 AM and all)  so blogging was the alternative.  Hah!

I've lost almost 2 inches on my stomach in almost 2 weeks.  I like measuring inches instead of pounds, because the inches come off faster.  My weight-loss friend introduced me to a video on youtube.  Yay for more motivation!  (this is not my video)
Again, this is NOT ME!  But this video does encourage me to continue on this journey. She made her changes within one year.  I really like how she is a regular person and shows where she started from. It really is just a lifestyle change and not a 90 day diet.  Keep sweating friends!

Exploder

Well hello first Monday of the year. It was nice to sleep in today and wake up to beautiful sunshine.  This will probably be the best Monday of the year.  No work today!

Have you ever been a customer at a business and they insulted you the entire time you were there?  Well, that happened to my friend and I this past weekend.  We went to the nail salon for pedicures. Something we usually do every time we are together. The lady took one look at my feet and said "oh you need razor."  No, she wasn't talking about my legs, she was talking about my heels!  It was more than gross to watch skin falling from the bottom of my feet. Aftewards she said "now they look clean."  Bish please!  To make it even better, she said the same thing to my friend! My friend explained that she didn't have time to worry about the bottom of her feet because she has a baby.  So sorry lady that I don't shave the bottom of my feet., hope you can get over it!  And it was a nice salon too.  Oh well.

Today's random song is Exploder by Audioslave.  I love them and I love Chris Cornell. That will be all.

These Are The Days

I was hoping to have sun-shiny weather this weekend,  but it's gray and cloudy outside.  However, inside is all fun and games. Today I am thankful for family, friends that are like family, and laughter.  I have really enjoyed playing with my friend's 1 year old. He is so cute and I'm in love! All I try to do is make him laugh. And I'm very successful at that.  This morning he pointed at me and then pointed at himself and giggled.  I really love his smile. Ok ok, thats enough gushing for now.

Tonight I will be making enchiladas.  I'm pretty good at it when I have the recipe, but I'm recipe-free tonight.  So this will be an adventure I'm sure.   I'm kindof stressed that I still have Christmas decorations out at my house.  But it is what it is.  I'll just throw it all in the closet and call it a day.

Today's song is These Are The Days by Jamie Cullum.  It is one of my favorite songs and always makes me reminisce about my childhood.  Have a great day readers!

Resolve

Happy New Year! I'm spending this new year's weekend at my friend Tiffany's house. And let me tell you this, we are having a great time! Last night the six of us went to Red Rocks. I ordered a fillet Mignon and the husband had herb chicken.  I wish you could hear me say "herb."  I never say it the correct way and it usually makes people chuckle.

Before our trip we dropped the dog off with the neighbor.  I was surprised about how emotional I was!  I'm not one of those people that dress up their dog.  Also, I do logically understand that she is "just a dog."  But I was sad and then stressed out about being sad.  Over and over again I heard "she is just a dog."  By the next morning I was over it though.  Go me!

Today's song is Resolve by Foo Fighters.  As far as I can remember, I've never heard this song before.  I did go to their concert in 2006 or 2007. I went with Meg, Kurt, and the husband.  Up until that concert I never realized it was them singing Everlong (which is one of my favorite songs even though I didn't know the artist). I hope everything that needed to be resolved for you in 2010 was because 2011 is officially here!

Homeward Bound

I'm very excited to be traveling to my friend's house later this week.  I haven't seen her in over a year, and now she has a darling baby!  I love flying, but I do not know if I want to choose the x-ray machine or the pat-down.  Any suggestions?  The friend I am going to see, encouraged me to start Morning Cup of Blog. After you follow me, go here to follow her.

I'm anxiously waiting for the groomer to tell me my dog is ready.  She needed a bath and a shave like no other.  I wanted her to be pretty and clean since she will be staying at the neighbors while I am gone.  Here is an old picture of her. Say cheese!

Today's song is "Homeward Bound" by Simon and Garfunkel.  I think this song is timeless.  It's a great choice for today since I am focusing on my trip to see my friend.  Home is where the heart is!

Have a great day!
