Currently, the husband is kicking butt while doing p90x yoga at four in the morning! I thought that would be me as well today. But no. I was 10 minutes into it, in the lovely downward facing dog position and then it felt like my wrists snapped. Now please believe me when I say that I really do need my wrists in my day to day life. My wrists are ALL I need to perform my job duties. So I'm very protective of them. Hopefully yoga day can be moved to the weekend. I rather get in really intense workouts during the workweek. I promised him I wouldn't go back to bed, (it being 4:30 AM and all) so blogging was the alternative. Hah!
I've lost almost 2 inches on my stomach in almost 2 weeks. I like measuring inches instead of pounds, because the inches come off faster. My weight-loss friend introduced me to a video on youtube. Yay for more motivation! (this is not my video)
Again, this is NOT ME! But this video does encourage me to continue on this journey. She made her changes within one year. I really like how she is a regular person and shows where she started from. It really is just a lifestyle change and not a 90 day diet. Keep sweating friends!

Smaller Curves Ahead!
Yesterday was my birthday. I'm now the ripe ol' age of 27. I started the day off by eating a delicious breakfast with my husband at the local bakery. I had eggs-over-medium, bacon, a biscuit with cold gravy, and potatoes. It was pretty yummy besides the cold gravy. I left the bakery without cookies, cupcakes, or a cake. That is a great accomplishment for myself.
Then at 10am, I went to my hair stylist and received a much needed haircut. It looks so much better! The length is to my shoulders and layered. Or "thinned out" as the husband called it. I don't think I ate lunch yesterday because I was saving room for dinner.
For dinner I went to Surin 280 with three other people. I can't get enough of their tofu coconut soup. It is so creamy and delicious. I wish I could describe it better for you. It was the first time my husband and I went there together. He ordered the bbq chicken and I had the Thai noodle bowl. I can't wait to go again.
While we are on the subject of food, I should let you know that I'm about to start a "healthier lifestyle" phase (aka diet). My friend "T" and I are starting it tomorrow and will keep each other accountable. I do not want to let myself or her down. I think with her help, I can finally become successful at this.
My plan to achieve weight loss is the P90X workout program, a Shakeology drink every morning after the workout, eat sensibly 5 times a day, and push my water. And to truly understand that this will not happen overnight and to NOT GIVE UP!
I'm hesitant to put all my measurements and before pics out on blogworld just yet. But, I will once I reach my target of 115 pounds. That is the weight I was on my wedding day and is a reasonable, healthy goal. Have a great week!

Hold My Hand
I'm going to write this post in a s-l-o-w fashion. I'm going back and forth from a lovey-dovey warm hearted feeling to a severe ice queen mood. And this blog is about feeling good. So I will try and leave the ice queen somewhere else (like in an igloo).
There are a few blogs I follow where the blogger draws his/her own illustrations. I think that really shows their talent and I wish I could do that. The little sister has a digital drawing pad. Maybe I can practice on that next time I am at her house. I'm not sure what I would draw, besides the igloo I just mentioned. I had asked her over a month ago to draw my logo and she has yet to get back to me. You would think she would want the money and the claim to fame that I offered her, but no.
I'm up early today because I'm supposed to be doing my yoga video. This specific video is one hour and thirty minutes long. My ice queen mood was not helping matters. Sorry, but I just could not "clear your mind" and "exhale" this morning. I was just glaring at the tv with my arms crossed. Also, I do not have time for that in the morning. I have to take first shower, make the coffee, get dressed (apparently its a requirement), and give the pup attention. Taking first shower is a lot of responsibility. You have the power to set the whole morning off track if you start late.
Today's song is "Hold My Hand" by Hootie and the Blowfish. This song came out in 1994 when I was ten years old. That was a great year. Enjoy!
(Yes I know this is a Sesame Street video. Watch it anyways. You might learn something!)

Underneath the Stars
Oh the aches and pains this morning. Does anyone have a new pair of feet they can let me borrow? Even with blisters on my feet, I think I want to go on another hike. It was much more enjoyable than the treadmill. I'm becoming a monster one of those people!
Other news from this weekend is I completed the invitations for my mom's party. It wasn't that hard and I saved about $300 dollars printing them myself. Please let me take the time to mention, that I could not have done it without the help of the husband. There are pros and cons to marrying a computer guy (mostly pros of course, my pc is super fast and always virus free!), and this was one of them. He helped me with all the mail merging, printing, and even placing stamps on the envelopes.
Also this weekend the pup got into some trouble. She had been outside playing in the mud. Which is most of the time ok, because I stop her at the door and wipe her feet. She even knows that command and will lift her paws up one at a time. So cute! Well, when she came in this time she bolted past me and there was red, muddy, paw prints everywhere! I counted about 48 or so. What a disaster. Now, everywhere her paw print was, it's whiter than the other parts of the carpet. Oh well. Hopefully I will have a wood floor sooner than later.
Today's song is "Underneath the Stars" by Mariah Carey. It's a nice slow song for Monday morning. Enjoy your day!

Sunday Special
You are in luck! It's Sunday Special time! Every now and then (on Sundays) I'll actually write about something. This post is about my hiking trip.
This past Friday the husband asked if I wanted to go hiking with his co-worker Jeff, and Jeff's wife Jenny on Monday. I told him I could not because I work on Monday. Inside I was feeling a bit jealous that I would be left out. Then on Saturday morning, the husband said the hike was moved up to Sunday (today) because there is a chance of rain on Monday. He asked if I wanted to go, and I said yes. This gave me a 24 hour period of time to prepare for a 6.7 mile hike! I want to let you in on something, I was scared of the commitment. Sure I work out maybe 3 times a month, but this was very ambitious of me and the husband.
This morning I woke up with a bad feeling. I was very anxious, a bit negative, and completely apprehensive. Well it turns out that bad feeling was for a reason, although not a life-or-death reason. Jeff's wife Jenny couldn't make it for the hike. Immediately Jeff and the husband wanted to know "Do you want to go home or stay with us?" I wanted to man-up and not be a puss. What were all those years of Girl Scouts for, if not for situations like this? I was all in.
The first half of the Blue Trail was pretty steep. I thought I had made the wrong decision to stay. I even had to go through a fallen tree. Not over or under it or around it.
During the first half of the hike, we decided to go off the beaten path. If we went straight up a mountain then we would reach a boulder at the highest peak for a breathtaking view. This meant basically crawling on hands and toes because the incline was that severe. There was a lot of stumbling on small rocks, leaves, and pine straw during this trek. I even slid some distance on my butt! While off the trail I thought I saw something move under a rock that I was about to step on. I told myself it was just a leaf and to calm down. Then whatever it was hissed!
Here is the view from the boulder. And yes, it was worth it.
The second half of the trail really flattened out and I was thankful for that. We took a break for lunch. I consumed a Lunchable (really this is the only time its acceptable for an adult to eat one), a cinnamon raisin cookie, and Jeff's homemade granola mix.
The trail eventually ended at the Peavine Falls. My muscles, joints, and bones hurt. But the proudness I have at achieving a 7 mile hike is worth it. I never thought I could accomplish something like that!

Angel of Mine
Do you have a morning routine? I do and the dog messed it up this morning. Then I had to take a shower instead of post first, so I wouldn't be ranting the whole time. I believe when your daily routine is not in order, and you become cranky (like I am), then that is a sign of getting old. Yay!
I didn't do anything last night besides watch The Biggest Loser. It motivated me to not eat a bag of Oreos like I was planning to do, but that was it. The contestants transformations are unbelievable! I also love how crazy the trainers are too! So much yelling and vomit!
I'm excited for this weekend. I will finally get my house in order, use my iTune gift cards, and get mentally prepared for "life changes". What are some songs that you listen to while working out?
Today's song is Monica's "Angel of Mine." What a sweet sweet song! I know every word. Awwww this songs makes me smile. Thanks iPod!
